Picked up Tool: Lateralus (Limited picture vinyl), Queens of the Stone Age: Rated R (X Rated LTD Edition gatefold vinyl), and Dead Kennedys: Frankenchrist (Remastered vinyl). I was behind this brown gem on my way there.

The parents of a friend of mine had several Scorpios (albeit Ford Scorpios) around the time when we all got our licenses. With the V6 these weren't too slow, and lot's of hooning was done in them. We called them "The Tanks".
One of his younger brothers proved the truth of this nickname when he drove through a booth at our country fair. He delivered quite an elaborate story of how this happened but I think he was just plain drunk. Anyway, the car had surprisingly little damage, given that he used it as a wreckingball against a quite sturdy wooden construction.

Oooooh, those are becoming rare here as well!

They became rare a decade ago as they were treated as disposable cars. 0 status and high running costs didn't help. Even the frog eyed mid 90s Scorpio has become very rare, here in the Netherlands that is.

High prices on new cars makes people keep old cars running here up north. But it is a while since I've seen one, I've got to say. The froggy Scorpio has always been a rare sight.
